ABOUT MYSELF - ENGLISH

Hi guys, I’m Robert Cristian Bira, 20 years old and this is my job-application for both Language Manager and Translator Role.
I was born in Romania but I grew up in Italy where I currently live.
I’m studying Electronic Engineering at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, although I live in Ferentino.
I have many passions, the most important are karate, technology and movies.
I'm an enterprising and determined guy, I like to test myself and venture into new experiences, even if I hate having a life organized to the smallest detail I love being organized in what I do.

I studied English during high school period with good results but I wanted to improve my level even more because I think it’s important and open a lot of work opportunities.
English is now part of my daily life, from information to watching a movie or listening to a song.
Plus last year I worked in England for a period and I learned a lot of things that increase further my level.

I discovered Steemit platform and the community of Utopian just 6 months ago.
At the beginning I was going to create a blog about my life but after I tried with the translations and I understood that It’s a field that I like.
I think that there are a lot of people doing poor quality translations and I understood with practice how to do high quality translations.
After months now I know how to move, I know how it works and I know how to recognize what is wrong in translations, especially as proof-reader of Crowdin projects I noticed that some poor Italian translations were accepted without a deep control.
I want to give my contribution and make the translations reliable and high quality.

Before the translations pause period I did English to Italian translations for several projects and my work was appreciated by Utopian moderators (like jmromero and Roberto Marinello) and project owners.
Afterwards I found other interesting projects always on Crowdin and I gained a lot of experiences.
Currently I’m in the Punqtured team working on the Byteball project with excellent results.

Ciao ragazzi, sono Robert Cristian Bira, ho 20 anni e questa è la mia candidatura sia per il ruolo di Language Manager che per il ruolo di Traduttore.
Sono nato in Romania ma sono cresciuto in Italia dove vivo attualmente.
Sto studiando Ingegneria Elettronica all'Università di Tor Vergata a Roma, anche se abito a Ferentino.
Ho diverse passioni, le più importanti sono il karate, la tecnologia ed i film.
Sono un ragazzo intraprendente e determinato, mi piace mettermi alla prova ed avventurarmi in nuove esperienze, anche se odio avere una vita organizzata nei minimi dettagli, mi piace essere organizzato in quello che faccio.

Ho studiato Inglese al Liceo con buoni risultati ma volevo migliorare il mio livello ancora di più perché penso che sia importante saperlo ed apra molte opportunità lavorative.
L'inglese è ormai parte della mia vita quotidiana, dalle informazioni al guardare un film o ascoltare una canzone.
Inoltre l'anno scorso ho lavorato in Inghilterra per un periodo e ho imparato molte cose che hanno aumentato ulteriormente il mio livello.

Ho scoperto la piattaforma di Steemit e la community di Utopian solo 6 mesi fa.
Inizialmente avevo intenzione di creare un blog sulla mia vita ma dopo ho provato le traduzioni ed ho capito che è un ambito che mi piace.
Penso ci sia molta gente che fa traduzioni di scarsa qualità ed io ho capito con la pratica come fare traduzioni di alta qualità.
Dopo mesi ora so come muovermi, so come funziona e so riconoscere ciò che è sbagliato nelle traduzioni, specialmente come proofreader di progetti su Crowdin ho notato che alcune traduzioni italiane di bassa qualità sono state accettate senza un controllo dettagliato.
Voglio quindi dare il mio contributo e rendere le traduzioni affidabili e di alta qualità.

Prima del periodo di pausa delle traduzioni ho fatto traduzioni dall'inglese all'italiano di diversi progetti ed il mio lavoro è stato apprezzato dai moderatori di Utopian (come jmromero o Roberto Marinello) e dai proprietari dei progetti.
Successivamente ho trovato altri progetti interessanti sempre su Crowdin ed ho accumulato molte esperienze. Attualmente sono nel team di Punqtured a lavorare al progetto Byteball con ottimi risultati.
