My Davinci Application - Translator

Introduction:

Hi there,

This post denotes my submitted application to work as a translator for the Davinci Translation Project.
I am Fatima Mourtada. I hold a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Translation Studies. I am also a Certified Public Translator in my home country, Lebanon.

I have worked professionally in the translation field for the past nine years.
I mainly translate from Arabic into English languages and vice versa. Moreover, I master translation from French into English and Arabic languages.

I have worked for several NGOs and some renowned TV channels in the Arab World; and this experience has provided me with a solid grasp of various types of tricky source texts.

Now being a stay-at-home mother has caused me to wish for boosting my online freelance translation services. Accordingly, I am looking for reliable communities that pave my way to many translation projects with good earn rates.

My background in successfully translating economic, legal, technical, literary and even knotty religious texts prepares me to markedly exert influence over your project.

Furthermore, my remarkable history of providing punctilious and well-founded translations that achieve the closest matches in context and meaning entitles me to extend my record of excellence with your valuable project.

يشير منشوري هذا إلى الطلبِ الذي تقدمت به للعمل كمترجمة في مشروع دافينتشي للترجمة.
أنا فاطمة مرتضى، أحوز على درجة ماجستير في الألسنيات والدراسات الترجمية. كما وأنني مترجمة معتمدة (مترجمة محلفة) في بلدي لبنان.
وقد عملت بإجادةٍ تامّةٍ في مجال الترجمة على مدى السنوات التسع الماضية.
أقوم غالبًا بالتعريبِ والترجمةِ بين اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية. وأضف الى ذلك، أجيد الترجمةَ من الفرنسيةِ إلى اللغتين الإنجليزيةِ والعربية.

عملت في العديد من المنظمات غير الحكومية وبعض القنوات التلفزيونية الشهيرة في العالم العربي. وقد زودتني هذه التجربة بمعرفة متينة حول أنواع مختلفة من النصوص المصدرية الصعبة.

وكوني الآن أمًا ماكثةً في المنزل، أرغب في تعزيز خدمات الترجمة الخاصة بي على الشبكة العنكبوتية. وعليه، فإنني أبحث عن مجتمعاتٍ موثوقٍ بها كي تمهدَ لي الطريقَ للوصول إلى العديد من مشاريع الترجمة ذات المردود الجيد.

كما وإن خلفيتي في ترجمة النصوص الاقتصادية والقانونية والتقنية والأدبية وحتى الدينية الشائكة منها، تخوّلني للتأثير بشكل ملحوظ على مشروعكم. وعلاوةً على ذلك، فإن سجلّي اللافتَ في تقديم ترجماتٍ نيّقة وسليمةٍ تحقق النصوص الأكثر تطابقًا على مستويَيْ السياق والمعنى يمنحني الأهليّة لكي أصلَ سجلَ تفوقي بمشروعكم القيّم.
