Quest post week thirty two: Ogers (part five)

gob is big problems he is close combat whit two ogers and a wolf. but he been here has turn the tide of the encounter the colonists are slowing killing the ogers. out from the forest @cyber.explorer and Maxwell blaze is entering the area. they has been following gob wondering way he was suddenly here. now they can see the truth they wasting no time and running at his aide killing one of the ogers. @happyme ses what is happening he is coming from the flank killing the wolf and the last oger.

@methus is concentrate his attack on one of the ogres ho is coming this way easily he killing it. and wounding a wolf. @hhayweaver is stnading up from cover trying to shoot the oger archer but he cant get his aim in. @stever82 is laying in wait on a perfect ambush. gob felin more safe now he take a big sip of his armor potion and give his Greater Healing potion to maxwell. they casting his berserk spell on on wolf he can see. they wolf is doing a 160 and killing his ally. then attacking the oger. the nettels wall is strong all of the colonists except .@stever82 is using it for cover.

the chief oger is moving to a better position he is summing a new wolf the last oger is running farvard..he get in potision the first enemy he can see it the pesky human maxwell. he was sure he killed him but it sems no he fire his crossbow its hits. maxwell are staring at the oger...the oger is a big but he feels he is on borrowd time. like he only whant to kill a few goblinds and have a good meal but this goblinds are to tough he things they are not good at frying but maby in a stew..the oger is just standing there thinking how its best to prep maxwell for a meal.

I land another blow and for the first time see some blood on my blade yet I know he is still strong. I call for my cub who striked him again. We head to J11 and try to hide again in the woods. @rollthedice

Thinking that we had cleared out the immediate enemy, and with no time to rest, I see the ogre archer spring past the nettle wall and take a lucky shot at Maxwell who was fairly well hidden.

With a sudden rage I charge-attack the ogre on 10,E.

...and bringing down a fierce blow with my hammer...

Seeing that the archer has been killed, I sneak around the nettle wall and through the forest to J6 from where I launch my attack on the 2 wolves.

SUMMARY: Killed the wolf at D8 and missed the wolf at G3.

First arrow is for the wolf at D8 @rolld20

7 damage to the wolf, so it is very dead.
My 2nd arrow is for the wolf at G3 @rolld20

Unfortunately, that arrow misses, so the wolf and ogre boss are still a very real threat.

Action 1: move out from behind the nettle wall.

Action 2: dark Missile at the Ogre chief. @rolld20

Action 3: Move back behind the nettle wall.

OOC: At this point, with the enemies thinned out, I'm wondering if it makes sense to step out and fight the chief. His spells are largely support spells, and if we're just doing 1 attack per turn then hiding he may be able to keep up with our damage by healing himself.

OOC: Do I get a to-hit bonus after stepping out from behind the wall? If so, that hits for 5 damage. If not, it missed.

As long as another wave of reinforcements are not called in, I was prepared to do a full-on assault of the chief now. That's why I moved out from behind the wall and closer to the chief. I agree that this would be the time to give all efforts at taking down the chief.

OOC: Internet is back, woohoo!

Coming out of a daze after being ambushed by a bunch of ogres, I gather my wits about me as I see the ogre ranger fall and happyme kills one of the wolves. All that is left is one wolf and the chief. I will try and take out the last wolf, then we can kill the chief.

Action 1: Move to J9 attempting to stay hidden @rollthedice

A hit on the wolf, one more hit and it is dead. I think I'm far enough away from the ogre to be safe.

My arrow flies true and pierces the wolf through the heart it drops to the ground dead.
Now I focus my attention on the big, heavily armored, magic wielding ogre, I hope this was a good idea ;)

Maxwell, with a sudden surprising bolt in his back, is shocked into action and charge-attacks the ogre archer on 10,E.

update: Maxwell and Blaze kill the ogre on 10,E!

Maxwell feels a solid contact as he pounds in the head of the archer leaving him motionless on the ground. Blaze, with a snarl, starts to rip into him for a total a 7 damage. This oger is most likely DEAD now.

Maxwell decides that it is probably best to take cover again, he whistles for Blaze to follow and and tries to hide...
