My today's dancefloor was the water, and the waves were my music.
The result is probably the most sophisticated and entertaining video I've shooted so far. Come over and be my witness 😎 📷

Give me a surf board and some music, and I'll show you how!
Today there were a lot of other surfers in the water since the conditions were simply perfect: no wind, a lot of sun and smoothly shaped little waves.
I'm single again and pretty sure that my next boyfriend needs to be a surfer and a dancer!
Life is serious enough sometimes...

Awesome video! This first time I surfed I didn't have a clue what I was doing and there was a tropical depression off in the Atlantic Ocean. I finally made it out there where the real surfers were. I tried to catch a couple of waves but missed them. Finally I caught on and it swiftly showed me who was boss by throwing me like a rag doll. I was put in the spin cycle for what seemed to be forever and when I came up my surf board I just rented was snapped in half. No one told me I shouldn't have been on a long board in waves that were big enough to make a pipe. ON second thought I shouldn't have been out there at all. Lesson learned.
OMG! 😱😱😱 I'm really glad you got out safe. Something similar happend to me last summer surfing the Maldives. I wasn't prepared for the force Mother Ocean has there. One wave hit me hard and I found myself on the reef a couple of minutes later, cutting my feet on the sharp-edged rocks and damaging my (rented) surfboard accordingly... So yes, I know well how you must have felt then.
Lesson learned. That's it :)

Yeah I was so pissed and was in an argument with the guy over the surf board. He actually was saying he was going to call the cops. I was like "Don't talk to me like I'm 12 years old. Go ahead and call the cops. This is a civil mater not a criminal mater so the cops aren't going to do anything to resolve this. " It was real dumb. I really do want to actually take lessons and learn how to surf. It has to be amazing to stay up like you do and harness the power of the waves!

Wow very satisfying. Too bad we don't have that place here. We have lots of beaches but too few sites for surfing. We have only I guess, its in Siargao.
By the way, what camera did you use?
It's a GoPro Hero 5. But I need to improve the adjustment regarding the fps - frames per second.
My best friend already called me twice telling me that I am using an inappropriate frame set, but I simply didn't listen hahaha 😉 Next time I'll use a better one. Thing is: when I increase the image quality then I will have less recording time. Currently I can shoot like 2 hours with one battery load. That's perfect for one surfing session. When I have less time to film, then I will have less footage in the end. Not sure if this is the right deal. Well, we'll see. I should give it a try anyways!

I like the duck dives the best. I'm guessing your at least trilingual.
Me, too!! These underwater sequences are really special. Plus: knowing that it's quite hard to learn how to duck dive seeing these images is like being extra rewarded for it 😉
Currently I speek four languages: German (native), Spanish (almost like native), English and Italian. But I'd love to learn a fifth one, either Portuguese or Russian.
I would think Portuguese would be easier than Russian.
