Spragga Benz

Jamaican born Dancehall DJ Spragga Benz is the founder of the Carlisle Foundation, a philanthropic non-profit with the aim of helping local youths. He is a promoter of the Haile Selassie Rastafari religion and sets his vision to help others on getting people to accept Selassie as the savior as to not get caught up in the materialistic, money hungry, inhumane society that western culture is directing.

His music is revolutionary. From Jamaica, where political corruption has been rampant, where gun culture was crucial to protect themselves from crooked police, he has been an avid second amendment proponent and he doesn’t hold his tongue for any politician. He speaks truth to power and explains that the youth need culture and to be free from political oppression.

When Spragga found activism, it was a natural relationship. He believes that we need alternative choices outside what the political establishment provide us.

As a pro-cannabis and pro-2nd amendment advocate, his views naturally align with the constitution and libertarian philosophies. As a Rastafarian, eating plants from the earth, environmentalism is also very important to him.

In the end however, it’s all about Haile Selassie and the spiritual liberation that Rastafarianism expounds.

His music is dancehall, savage, uniting people behind rhythm and cutting lyrics.
