People often assume that because a child is not yet offering words, the child could not be the creator of its own experience, but it is our promise to you that no one else is creating your experience. This idea angers a lot of people when you consider why bad things happen to some, but there is truth to it and anyone who explores discovers this. I try to balance these ideas with a lot of empathy and support for those who are suffering.
This kid must be attracting greatness to be born to a parent who understands all this.
Thank you for your words here. There is an interesting contrast between myself and my partner and our son has clearly highlighted areas that need working on in our ability to communicate clearly. For this I am most grateful.
And I hope that when he witnesses our rare moments of stress, this doesn't affect him in a negative way.
Children are always born to parents who have something to learn from that particular child. We are all reflections of each other, but this reflection relationship is quite interesting within families and there is always so much to learn, sometimes painful, sometimes pleasant.
If you focus on the love and on what he needs (not on what you THINK he needs, soon he will be able to tell you, if he can't already), there will be no need to worry.
