Food Travels #1: Japanese Restaurant in Bra (Italy)
Last week I tried with some friends a Japanese restaurant in Bra, North West of Italy, called はる はな (Haru Hana, which means "Spring Flowers"). I was attacted by the name and the fact that they offer both an à la carte menu and an all you can eat one.
The restaurant is nice and quiet, despite the many available tables and the fact that it was almost full. It has nice wooden tables and chairs and everything in "Japanese Style". However, I'm almost sure that the staff is Chinese, since I'm studying Japanese and I couldn't understand a single word.
They are famous because they make "shushi boats" of different sizes, depending on the number of people sitting at the table.
In addition to that, we took some other dishes, both sushi and other kind (i.e. rice, noodles, tempura and cooked fish). The quality was really good, the fish really fresh and tasty and also other dishes were both good looking and delicious! So, if I came near here again I will probably return to this restaurant. Even the prices were not that high for a Japanese restaurant of that level.
