The creator of the blockchaine-based web browser, Brave unveiled a crypto wallet for Ethereum, which is currently under development.

Incompatible with Brave Rewards

Brave discussed his previous work on a blog post on August 27. According to the notification, it will create a wallet for the ERC-20. In addition, the wallet supports interaction with decentralized applications - also known as DApps.

However, the wallet cannot affect Brave Rewards. This means that users cannot transfer any BAT between Brave Rewards and Crypto Wallets. Wallet can already be tried, but Brave recommends that users "hold a small amount of coins and make regular backups" if they want to try out a trial version of Crypto Wallet.

Future compatibility with Brave Rewards

The company intends to add support for Uphold to its wallet, which allegedly allows users to transfer cryptographic resources between a Uphold, Brave Rewards, and Crypto Wallets user account.

In addition, Brave plans to eventually integrate crypto-wallets directly with Brave Rewards, instead of relying on Uphold's private key wallet. According to the announcement, it will be one of the largest projects that the company will complete in the development of cryptographic wallets.
