Is 3-D Printing the future of the arms industry and by extension, airsoft as well?

3-D printing wasn't always something that any person can get into. At a time you had to build your own and configure it all on your own. Things have really been changing the past couple of years.
3-D printing has really been hitting some great strides in availability, affordability, ease of use, and quality of prints. Now that it's feasible to make high strength gun parts and accessories companies and private owners are now making their own parts. Although more often than not, the parts are made of polymer composites they still are still a viable option for prototypes used for making molds, castings, or physical examples. Now if you're asking how does this benefit anyone, then the answer is that there is a few ways it benefits the consumers as well as companies. The consumers can take their favorite designs and mix them up to their own specifications. In turn companies will see this happening and will step up their quality control. Nice win-win for consumers. Hopefully, gone will be the days of the random lemon. As for the companies, they would have better, more complex machines that can handle jobs more common machines cannot. In the future 3-D printing will bring down the cost of rapid prototyping and production of guns and their parts. Cost of production goes down, profit margins increase, if only slightly in the beginning.

In all due reality this is just wishful thinking based on the current trends I've been seeing, but it is definitely a possibility!

Have a good night/day my friends
