The fear of snake is a common phobia that people have. It's understandable that some snakes are venomous and are capable of killing us so being scared of them is just a matter of instinct, but look on the brighter side, it would be unfair to see snakes as just slimy killers. Snakes are amazing creatures with incredible abilities. Did you know that some snakes can fly? Or some can scare away predators just by Farting? 1] There are approximately 3,400 snake species on the planet, out of which just about 600 are venomous. And Out of those 600 only 200 pose a serious threat to humans.

I've personally witnessed the brutal killing of a snake and when I looked closely at it I realized it was a feeble, HARMLESS bush snake. Knowledge is truly power.

2] Polycephaly has one of it's highest occurrences in snakes–which is a rare condition of having more than one head. There have been many reported cases of two-headed snakes. The heads sometimes fight each other for food.
