How can minnows maximize eyeballs and payouts? || 哪些類別看的人多、收入多？

Three posting strategies to maximize your return on investment (ROI) in time and energy:

(Note: numbers are rounded off )

(1) Post in categories with the greatest number of comments per post (on average): “Post/Comm” (next-to-last column). Since most people don't leave comments, few comments probably also means few readers. #mbphoto seems to have the largest number of uncommented posts (28) and an extremely low payout (after rounding, the total comes to zero). The next two categories are #photos (8) and #comedy (7), and they seem to have relatively better average payouts.

(2) Post in categories that seem to pay the most per post (averages in thousands of SBD, i.e. 50K = 50,000): “Pay/Post” (last column). #photography” seems to have the largest average payout: $2883 per post. #music ($520) and #video ($405) also pay quite well.

Of course, averages are only a rough guide.

Imagine a category with only ten posts. If nine of them earn $10 each and one of them earns $1000, the “average” payout would come to $109, but ordinary posters would receive ten times less:

(9x$10) + (1x$1000) = $1090; $1090÷10 = $109

(3) Get to know people and let them know you (This is my preferred strategy: earning money is useful, but it shouldn't be the main point).

At first, spend as much time as possible browsing in individual categories. Figure out what's most popular / most needed and who are the outstanding performers. Make a sincere, concerted effort to provide value and interact with people in your chosen categories. Post interesting / useful texts or beautiful / imaginative pictures, and leave intelligent, useful, encouraging comments. Follow productive / stimulating people and slowly build up your own following: your earnings will slowly climb. Use strategy 2 to maximize your exposure.

[Update] I have just realized that one of my “miscellaneous” categories is the cryptically-named #openmic, which is devoted to songs (not to political hanky-panky). #openmic should be grouped with the other two SG posts, #music and #song.
