No more curation rewards - Agree or not?

If there are no rewards from posts you upvote, would you upvote? If so, What kind of posts?
Is it from trending, hot, promoted or new?
I've been seeing complains about crappy posts that gets rewarded more than amazing posts. I dont have any idea on how long has this been going on but I dont think theres been a way to solve this properly. Also theres an issue about reward pool rape and I think it's somehow connected all together.
Why do we upvote?
Ill be honest with you, at first I upvoted posts that have big rewards already obviously anticipating the rewards from it so basically it became a bad habit which generally makes me an upvoting bandwagon minnow.
Is there anyone else like me? Are there more minnows with rewards anticipating habit? Is this the minnow sickness?
I believe we should reward posts that we think are valuable. Its subjective but thats why we should upvote.
Upvoting Bandwagon
There are two sides: one who curates great posts and the other one who just vote for rewards. What do you think is the percentage they share? The steemit platform is just a tool, the power is with the people but can you impose some rules by not looking like a hypocrite who wants to control the decentralized platform? If not, How do we fix this?
The answer is obvious, explain properly why we should upvote and why we should flag bad posts and there are a lot of people who are doing this and still doing it but the problem is still there. Sure we can continue on the same path hoping in the future everyone will realize but...
...What if there are no more curation rewards? Can this solve the problems faster and more efficient?
