I really do not think that they will welcome the month of Ramadan fasting with great pleasure and excitement, whereas the month of Ramadan in the literal sense is a month of torture, because all adult Muslims are required to perform fasting with so many restrictions that do not can be done since dawn until sunset.
Such prohibitions include basic matters in everyday life, such as not eating and drinking, smoking, having sex, even seeing or hearing something vulgar can also cancel the Fasting Merit.
But as I told you at the beginning of the story, it does not hurt their faces, all of them are happy to welcome Ramadan, they express it by taking a tour with the family a few days before Ramadhan, because during fasting Islam forbids his people to be too joyful because feared will arise arrogant taste among them.
And today, one day before the entry of the Holy Month of Ramadan, I was shocked to see how they prepared themselves, early in the morning after the morning prayers, the streets of this small town center filled with merchants, they sell fresh cattle by hanging on the ones that had been prepared before, almost all citizens , especially men look busy shopping, they do not care about the price of meat today which is more expensive than usual, the meat sellers have prepared their merchandise since early morning to be sold this morning, nothing strange for them if almost all day families in Aceh today consume meat as a main ingredient and side dish.
I am just amazed, they are very happy to welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan, do not ask about my mixed feelings, I am also very happy, amazed also sad, because I have to fast in other areas far from my home and family.
