Music festival- DONAUINSELFEST

Do you like to attend music festivals? But in the open air? Then Europe's largest free festival is waiting for you! The already rich cultural program of the Austrian capital can surprise with the scope of the annual popular event held directly on one of the Islands in the middle of the Danube.

Since 1984, the last weekend of June, the festival rhythm of life captures Vienna, and guests from around the world do not miss the opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of diverse music. Numerous scenes, pavilions with Souvenirs and culinary delights, attractions and sports grounds are located throughout the artificial island.

Already 34 years in Austria gather numerous musical groups from all over the world and fascinate art not only guests but also residents of Vienna. And all thanks to one enterprising policy Harry Kapitza, which even then, in 1983, decided to invite the Austrian capital city of your favorite artists (among them was Minisex, Tom Pettings Hertzattacken, Heli Deinboek), designed to attract people and to draw attention to nothing remarkable island bars.

No one could not think that the mini-festival will gain such fame and become the largest free music festivals in the world. Donauinselfest throughout the years is not only a variety of musical styles and artists, but all kinds of entertainment, and most importantly, peaceful.

In 2013, at the festival, you could listen to the bright performance of the Austrian singer with the stage name Clara Luzia (Clara Luzia).

I think the uniqueness of this festival and that each of the guests will find it a group of their interests and preferences. Dozens of open-air scenes are arranged so that no one interferes with anyone. And the audience just enjoying the music, there is no cacophony, no sharp sounds, although there are rock musicians, rap artists, and sound within acceptable acoustics.

In 2013, charismatic Zuccherocame to the 30th anniversary festival. I liked this song, very catchy :)

A few fruitful days in makeshift venues featured more than 2,000 bands and solo artists. At the festival it was possible to meet not only young artists, but also famous musicians.

Austrian pop group * * Opus * * performed its famous song * * Live is life * * (which has become one of the hits of the XX century), see how the audience actively responded to their incendiary performance.

There are also annually held delightful air show * * Red Bull * * they only need to see. Professional pilots show for the many visitors to the vein such tricks that my head is spinning (in direct and figurative sense of the word). And use aircraft models from ancient to ultra-modern.

The music sounds from all sides and does not irritate anyone, and people of different age groups from preschoolers to elderly fans of the original performance come to the festival. No one here is bored, everybody's got something to do, all find entertainment for the soul.

In 2017, the festival was held from 23 to 25 June. Arriving here on an artificial island, you will forget about everything. On the southern part of the island you can do sports (built various jumps, Bicycle paths, "mountains" for climbing, trampoline towns, and attractions so much that the eyes run away). Here are just remember that have a lot of walking, the distances are quite serious.

Last year the guests were pleased with their performance by Amy Macdonald, a favorite of the Austrian public.

This year, leading the organizers and most Austrian radio stations have already started to accept applications for participation in Donauinselfest 2018!

Has already started to work a contest called "Rock island" in which all fans of musical performers will be able to vote for their favorites and selected the lucky winners in June will be released on one of the scenes of the mass of the free festival on the planet.

Once again, we listen to famous artists and see new musical groups. And some, perhaps, will go to Vienna to share any recordings of performances of talented artists. The wait is very long.
