BUFFALO, THE PHILIPPINES NATIONAL ANIMALS
The buffalo (Bubalus bubalis carabanesis or sometimes Bubalus carabanesis) is a domesticated buffalo water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) commonly found in the Philippines, Guam, as well as other parts of Southeast Asia. The buffalo is often associated with peasants because it is often the chosen animal for plowing and pushing carts used by peasants to bring their produce to the market.
