Many people probably don’t know that when in old-fashioned refrigerator was not there, people used to keep water in the pottery. Indeed, there are many properties in the soil that fight with diseases and keeping the water in pottery makes, those qualities come in it. thats why, we should always drink water kept in pottery.

Many people drink water from plastic bottle, which is not good for health. Keeping water in plastic bottles for a long time causes water to get damaged. But the water in the pottery does not worsen.

Matka (pottery) water is especially beneficial for summer because pottery water is naturally cool, while the water in the refrigerator cools down from electricity, which is harmful to health. Drinking cold water of the refrigerator keeps fear of diseases like throat and constipation. We should avoid drinking cold water from the fridge and use the pottery.

How water gets cold

There are small tiny holes in matka (pottery) which are not seen with open eyes. Water is cooled due to evaporation. Water comes out from small pores and flies away as a vapor. For become vapor water needs heat which gets it from the matka. During this time, the temperature of the pot downs to low and the water downs to cold.

How it is made

Matka is made by mixing clay and water. Often kumhar people make it. Those who live in the villages. It takes a lot of hard work to make it. It is very cheap compare to fridge. The price of one matka ranges from 40 to 200 rupees.
