The Importance of Visuals In Marketing
A lot of ClickTrackProfit members are getting their first taste of content creation via CTPtalk.com and I thought it would be a good chance to address this important topic...
Not only is adding graphics, videos and visuals to your blog post critical...It's also a very good habit to get into for all your businesses online.
Sadly, a big majority of the people in our little side of the internet think it's a good idea to get Uncle Jim to design their web presence because he is an expert with Paint Shop Pro.
You may laugh....But it's the truth. So today, let's dive into some of the techniques we use and how you can leverage the 'visual' side of marketing...
Videos Are A REALLY Good Idea!
I decided many years ago that if I was to get 'known' in business, I would have to stick my face behind a camera.
(This is a YouTube video from last night's Thursday session we held!)
Now I'm not a big YouTube fan, as I prefer live streaming and @Dtube here on Steem. But it's a really good idea to start getting comfortable behind the camera.
Don't worry...You are going to 'suck' at first...We all do! But the more you do it, the better you will get....Start implementing video NOW!
Use Tools Like Canva.com Every Day!
Remember a few months ago I was pounding the importance of Stock Vs. Flow content? If you need a refresher...Stock content is the stuff you will be known for. Your pillar content...While flow content keeps you top of mind.
And to remain top of mind, you need to be seen. Not just on Steem but around social media in general.
And you do that by creating cool little gifs, images and shareable content by using Canva.com
Here's some examples of what I know will never become stock content for me, but it gets a bunch of likes, shares and discussions starting around the net...
(This graphic gets shared on our Facebook group for CTP to remind everyone about our Monday crypto shows...)
(A recent promotional image we used to help raise awareness for our Badge Hunt)
(A Twitter image we shared this past week for Hardfork 21 awareness)
(A quick infographic we created to raise awareness of our Mastery program in CTP)
Every single one of these images above...Was created in Canva.com! Grab a free account and start creating!
Blog Posts Need Graphics Too!
Something we're seeing, lot of CTP members are creating content...
But they end up just creating a post filled with big blocks of text.
Check out this post for an example...Not only are we attempting to teach the readers about the importance of adding visuals to our messages and content...We are also living by what we are preaching lol
This blog post is broken up with multiple images and a video.
This is a must to keep your readers attention...Nothing will turn them off more than just 500 words, with no paragraphic breaks and zero images...
And those are just a few examples of how to use visuals in your marketing messages...
Here's the best part.
For your website or content to look like a million bucks...Won't cost you a million bucks!
A lot of this can be done for free. We use the pro version of Canva and for around 10-12 bucks a month, it's worth every penny!

Thanks man...YeahI'm no graphic designer, and obviously some of the better infographics out there will have a lot more pull...I just think it's important no matter what, to have visual pieces in all our content no matter what.
And learn to do them yourself so you can be first to the punch with a spur of the moment idea!
I can do nearly anything on mobile, couple paid apps makes all the difference in simplicity.... I don’t shoot for professional but rather eye catching and provocative 😅

people might want to keep in mind a balance between those who prefer to consume their information via video and those who will not. Short precise videos can entice a non-video person to click start.

Great advice, graphics are adding a lot of value to posts and videos, and I useCanva every day, though I am on the free version, I do use the Pro version of YouCut to edit my videos though.
Yeah the free stuff on Canva is great. I just love the pro version cause of all the royalty free graphics you can use.

I love a good visual, especially if it portrays the content of promotion, I dislike visuals for visual sake when it is totally out of context, unless that is the content.
Just remember that we guide our audience interpretation by how we represent and what journey we create for them
yeah for sure...just sticking up a graphic for the sake of it...doesnt do justice. part of the skill i think is like you described./..leading your viewer and potential customer on a journey
