Exodus Wallet To Remove Dogecoin - Much Sad

The Exodus wallet dev recently announced the removal of Dogecoin support from Exodus. He explained that:

Although we love the Dogecoin community...the development seems to have gone stale with not many updates to key components we need. The last release of Dogecoin core was in Nov of 2015. Unfortunately Exodus is built on support from public Insight servers and Dogecoin does not have the latest updates to Insight. We have asked around and it does not seem this is going to happen anytime soon. Dogecoin has been disabled by default with this most recent release of Exodus (1.29.0). For those who do not have Dogecoin assets in Exodus, it will not be possible to enable Dogecoin support after the release on Aug 3rd. For those who do have Dogecoin assets inside of Exodus, releases on and after Sept 14th will no longer include Dogecoin support. You can still continue to use Dogecoin inside of Exodus after Sept 14th, but you'll be stuck using an older version of Exodus.
Recap of Exodus Releases Timeline:
July 6th: Exodus 1.29.0, Dogecoin disabled by default. Still possible to reenable.
Aug 3rd: Exodus 1.31.0, Dogecoin removed for users without a balance.
Sept 14th: Exodus 1.34.0, Dogecoin removed in this version and all future versions.
Note, after Sept 14th, Dogecoin will still work in older versions of Exodus!
We realize this will come off as a gut punch to many of you who revere Dogecoin so much. We're truly sorry it's came to this. We sincerely appreciate and thank you as a community for being so supportive over the months.

For any shibes out there who use the Exodus wallet like I do, they suggest switching to Jaxx, and offer a how-to on moving dogecoin assets from Exodus to Jaxx.

Sad to see Exodus drop dogecoin support like this.

Kunschj so what do you think that means. Is Doge on the way out . I know it has only been going down.

I don't think dogecoin is going away anytime soon. Dogecoin 1.14 will be released in public alpha soon. Based on Bitcoin Core 0.14, SegWit code will even be included, but will be disabled until the devs can ensure no interactions between SegWit and AuxPoW. But otherwise, if it's in Bitcoin Core 0.14, expect Dogecoin Core 1.14 to match...in Comic Sans, of course.

Wow, bummer.
I wonder if I can have two Jaxx wallets on one computer. Isn't the Jaxx wallet 'less' secure?

A report from vxlabs stated that:

Even when your Jaxx has a security PIN configured, anyone with 20 seconds of (network) access to your PC can extract your 12 word backup phrase and copy it down. Jaxx does not have to be running for this to happen.

Users who only use Jaxx on their smartphones are reportedly safe, although those who use desktop versions of the wallet may be at risk.

Jaxx CTO Nilang Vyas replied that Jaxx is a hot wallet in which users shouldn’t keep large amounts. With Jaxx, they believe they have found a balance between easy-of-use, security, and portability. He went on to caution users not to use Jaxx if they are not comfortable with its security model, stating:

Please please please, if you do not feel comfortable with our security model do not use our products. We’re are creating for the masses a multi-platform, multi-coin interface for the blockchain ecosystem where users are in full control of their digital lives.

In other words, the team behind Jaxx is “very comfortable” with its security model for hot wallets, and recommends users store large amounts of funds in hardware wallets.
