Quick Tutorial Guide to Set up a Free AWS to Host a Node
Go to AWS and make a free account
You will need a credit card to verify your identity but it won’t be charged unless you end up using more than the free trial. The AWS free tier section is good for 12 months. For more information, please follow this link.
You will see a list of AWS services. Under Compute click on EC2
Click the Launch Instance button
Click the checkbox for free tier only
This will give you a list of OS’s that you can use for free to run the test. We are going to use the windows server in this write up.
Scroll down to Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Base and click the select button.
Click Review and Launch unless you want to buy a better server
Click the Edit Security Groups.
In the Source drop down box select My IP or anywhere if you want to login from any computer. Then click review and launch.
Click the Launch button at the bottom and you will be prompted to make a new key pair
Type in whatever you want then click the download key pair button. Hit the launch button and review the instance.
You will see a screen like this but with only one instance running.
After a few minutes your instance should go from looking like the bottom one to having 2/2 checks. This means it is up and running waiting for a connection.
Right click on your instance and hit connect.
To get your password click the Get Password button and upload your key pair file you downloaded earlier. You can download the remote desktop file and just double click it to launch Remote desktop viewer.
You can also use whatever desktop viewer you prefer. If you are on Mac there is a Microsoft remote desktop app you can download through the app store for free. Once connected, use it like it was your own computer following the steps laid out in the testnet instructions.

Nice tutorial. Resteemed!
Unless it's changed, to my knowledge, the aws free node is only for 12 months before you start to get charged. Worth mentioning
