There's a lot of good news brewing for VTC...

Vertcoin, the "people's coin", rallied in the past 24 hours with a greater than 20% increase in USD value. It also increased 12% in value against Bitcoin in the same time span.

A currency with highly active development and many positive selling features, Vertcoin is rebounding on positive sentiment in the cryptocurrency market following a week of bearish movement. The coin will soon be available directly with USD and GBP pairings on Vertbase and Vertpig, respectively. This will allow for a much broader base of buyers as traders will no longer need to buy Vertcoin through BTC or LTC pairings on exchanges.

Among its many features, Vertcoin offers, most importantly, ASIC-resistance, allowing it to be mined on consumer-level computers and reducing the centralisation of the coin by preventing it from being effectively mined by dedicated ASICs. Additionally, the coin offers atomic-swap capabilities for trading without any need for a centralised exchange. Numerous other features are being developed. Right now, Vertcoin is one of the better bargains on the market (of course, there are many great bargains to be found right now with suppressed prices). With upcoming developments, it will make some significant positive moves over the coming weeks.
