Yes, there is a problem. A huge one. Upvotes should not grow linear to VEST but some form of logarithmic growth should have been applied.

With linear growth the oldest users dominate the site. Which is sad. And yes, those old users seem to be all interested in crypto. That too is a problem.

There is not much to be done. It's working for the whales.

When Minds announced to add crypto to I wondered: “Do we need yet another crypto?”

But maybe we do. If Minds does it right then Minds crypto could be more interesting then Steem. As much as I like Steemit they made a few mistakes which makes Steemit unattractive for new users. But without competition there is no reason the change. As it works for the old users.

PS: I don't look at hot, trending, discover, popular. Not here and not on any other site.
