PHOTOS FROM LAST SATURDAYS EVENT - "THE FUTURE ECONOMY - DIGITAL CURRENCY AND THE DECENTRALIZATION OF MONEY"
My local activist group held a skill share called "The Future Economy - Digital Currency and the Future Of Money" on July 1st. Hosted by the Salt Lake Freedom Hive with presentations from Trent Larson of MediciVentures.com and Rion Gull who is a cryptocurrency entrepreneur and promoter of Dash here in Utah.
Thank you to everyone who attended our event and to those involved in producing it!
We discussed introductory information surrounding cryptocurrencies, the blockchain, and getting started with the technology.
One of the presenters even offered to give people there first dollar in cryptocurrency and encouraged folks to install wallets and start using it!
I'll be posting the videos in the coming months. Hopefully the message can be brought to a larger audience of people trying to learn about crypto.

Trent did an excellent job providing the basics on how crypto works and how to start using it.
Rions presentation challenged the belief in money and how to properly use something as a mechanism of trade.

We encourage the use and adoption of cryptocurrencies in the Salt Lake Freedom Hive as well as investing and holding precious metals. We plan to avoid the ever increasing looming cliff that the centralized banking system presents to the finical safety and prosperity of those holding their wealth in these corrupt, completely immoral and doomed monetary system.
Adoption and use of this technology is rising at a rapid rate. However, most people I talk to, even people in the technology industry, have a glazed look in their eyes when you start trying to tell them about cryptocurrency.
I seek to change this paradigm in my local community and we will have future skill shares on this exiting new frontier that we all get to journey down together :) :)
Our meetup group in the local area have been focusing on the following topics and ideas:
- Discuss the Permaculture Action Day on July 27th and the Evening Meditation and Speaking Event July 27th.
- Freedom Cells - Continue building the Salt Lake Freedom Hive freedom cell and help others to start building their freedom cell.
- "Permagora" (Permaculture and Agorisim)
- Decentralizing Your Life. Tools and tactics for decentralizing control of your life down to the only person who should control your life, yourself.
- Coordinate group to be used in case of particular emergencies (join our cell 411 app)
- Skill sharing Events
- Unschooling meetup and support network’s (for unschoolers)
- Food Storage awareness and preparation planning
- Encrypted Communication Setup for members (contact me for info)
- Acquiring Land to purpose for large scale projects
- Building Agoras to bring truly free markets to our local communities
- Defense, Self-Defense training and preparation
- Legal Defense guidance and education
- Aid, providing resources to the community and individuals within who are in need of assistance
- Agorism and and counter-economic exchange.

Thank you. That's exactly what I intend to do.
We focus on a lot of topics. With a Freedom Cell there can be a basic level of infrastructure that each member should have attained. This can include food storage, a bug out plan, basic survival skills, a basic understanding of rights, etc...
More and more I think I'll encourage others to install wallets and start using crypto. It seems like this is going to become a basic skill that anyone who understands even the basics of the economic conditions we are living in would want to learn and utilize.
