The world is always on the look at for ideas and innovations which will change the way we have long attended to things. No wonder so much money is spent by government yearly for research and technology. One unique idea which has had so much impact on the world in the last couple of years is the blockchain technology which has offered a decentralized way of doing virtually almost everything. The blockchain technology so far has prompted the generation of so many ideas and innovation seeking to give the world a better means of doing things. One of such innovative idea which I came across, having so much benefit to offer to the world is what I want to talk to us about. Let me introduce you to the VIVA NETWORK.
Lending has been a practice that has long existed for so long with lots of people looking for money to borrow to start up business, grow businesses and other numerous reasons. We even saw the rapid growth in market share from private lending and marketplace lending offering investors low volatility. Though private loans have some advantages, it is usually difficult finding someone who can provide the loan and most likely impossible. Private lenders are faced with shortcomings like lack of secondary market for private mortgage investments, resulting in illiquid assets and leaving lenders without a practical exist strategy, lack of data standardization, high cost of legal contracts and consultations for originating and servicing a private loan on an individual basis can be prohibited and also due to the high value of investment, private lenders are faced with undiversified portfolios thereby suffering from over-exposure to unsystematic risks.

Online marketplace lending (MPL) which was later introduced has offered great help to tackle some the above issues with proven performance metrics which gives investors access to fractionalize their investments using a peer-to-peer (P2P) crowdfunding model. Though marketplace lending (MPL) has been more helpful, it cannot yet provide investors with a strong secondary market, rendering investors investments illiquid and diminishing their attractiveness. Larger MPL platforms like Upstart, LendingClub, Prosper Marketplace in recent times have sprung up to address the liquidity challenge through large-scale securitizations bundling thousands of the marketplace loans into Mortgage-Backed Securities and these are called “Securitized Marketplace Lending Bonds”. Though this approach has a better offer, it is faced with issues like lower yields, high securitization costs, dangerous lack of transparency, exclusive barriers to entry and potentially the worst moral hazard problem in modern history.
In an attempt to provide a long lasting solution to all these issues mentioned above a team of high intelligent experts came up with an extraordinary idea, one never seen in the world before called VIVA NETWORK. This introduces an innovative solution for peer-to-peer lending using blockhain technology. Indeed this is the first Marketplace Lending Platform which is built on the blockchain infrastructure. Viva has developed a unique ecosystem of applications which is designed to address the different shortcomings the private mortgage lending industry listed earlier. Viva using a hybrid securitization protocol converts secured debt noted (or “Borrower Payment Dependent Notes”) into digital assets using smart contracts, tracking the assignments of the assets with a proprietary DLT-based loan servicing application. This Viva ecosystem gives users an opportunity to browse through pre-vetted investments, making purchase of desire private mortgages and still have complete custody and control over their assets.

There are two applications through which investors can purchase these fractional mortgage shares and these includes the Viva Mortgage Platform which is a primary market crowdfunding platform and the Viva FMS Exchange which is a secondary market “OTC” marketplace. Indeed this will create liquidity, diversification not to mention lower fees, faster settlements, transparent record or ownership, smaller investment options and access to large pool of investors. Viva has indeed made things a lot easier so much so that with as little as $100 anyone registered on the platform can with a mobile device become a micro-mortgage lender, accumulating interest every month and compounding growth on their investments and savings. Not just that, investors have access to customize and diversify their transparent portfolios of assets while enjoying unlimited access to secondary market liquidity. There are also in-app tools specially designed to simplify investment process, making it intuitive and transparent with tools for data standardization, portfolio benchmarking, disaster recovery, credit modeling, order management execution, auto-reinvestment, portfolio valuation, customized portfolio management reporting and auto-diversification. Through a standardized investment grading framework (similar to Moody’s or S&P), users of the platform can browse the various mortgage investments being able to analyze investments and view all details and complete risk assessment procedures including images of the property, its location, digital copies of executed documentation relating to the loan and lots more.

With Viva, borrower are connected to lenders directly in a timely manner, streamlining the process with state-of-the-art automation technology, taking low fees thereby saving time and money for users. That’s not all; borrowers can obtain a fast and paperless pre-approval using the Viva mobile app after a standard loan assessment (ie property appraisal and credit approval process by licensed underwriters). Within days funds can be secured upon submission for crowdfunding. Indeed savings generated by cutting intermediaries will be greater than 20% of the total expense with Viva.

Viva has some unique products which have been specially developed. They have the Viva FMS Exchange, which is an OTC marketplace designed for compliant transactions of viva’s fractional mortgage shares investments (FMS). Also, Viva has he Viva Mortgage Platform which is a hybrid primary market crowdfunding platform for originating loans and funding multi-lender (syndicated) secured-loan agreements. The local token system by Viva labs is another product of Viva which is a subsidiary company created for the introduction of a local token, pegged to the value of the local currency of each country which Viva Network enters. Viva has some secondary applications like RV2-Smart Property Appraisals and V-Score-Decentralized Credit Scoring.

VIVA TOKEN DETAILS
Viva has its own tokens with a symbol “VIVA” which is an ERC20 token that operates on the ethereum network. The Viva tokens are utility tokens generated for the purpose of use on the Viva’s platform and applications. During the Token Generation Event, VIVA will be available to purchase and subsequently will be available on exchanges. There will be a total supply of 4 billion tokens and 3 billion out of it will be available for sale during main sale which starts 1st June 2018 and ends 15th November 2018. The tokens will be available for purchase at a cost of 0.0000243ETH = I VIVA or $0.0054 USD = I VIVA. All unsold tokens will be burned automatically by the Smart Contract System.

Of the total token generated, 75% will be available for the generation event distribution, 10% will be allocated to reserve fund, 7.5% goes to team, 3.75% allocated to advisors and lastly 3.75% allocated to marketing, bounty and private contribution.

May 2016: Inception of initial idea - to create and utilize a blockchain based technology which enables global investors to crowdfund private mortgages, without the need of banks.
June 2017:
• Compiled an initial team of software engineers.

Q1 & Q2 – 2018:
• Initiate marketing and promotional campaign
• Launch Token Generation Event.
• Launch the MVP – A web app designed to provide VIVA Token holders with the ability to preview the Viva Network Platform and use the Real Value 1.0 Home Valuation App.
• Hire a comprehensive team of software developers to be assigned to the development of The Viva Network Platform, including: Real Value 2.0 Home Valuation Application, Viva FMS Exchange Application, Mortgage listing system (Hub Platform), and mobile clients by using funds raised during the Early Contribution Period.
• Continued legal, regulatory and compliance due-diligence, including required licences and other regulatory hurdles required for the Viva Network Platform’s mortgage crowdfunding operation.
• Obtain extensive legal and regulatory procedural advice for the roll out of the Mortgage Crowdfunding system using funds raised during the Early Contribution Period.
Q3 – 2018:
• Complete the development of Real Value 2.0 Application

Q1 – 2019
• Integrate with various proprietary software systems that allow for more efficient operations, eg. a decentralized credit rating system.

• Obtain multinational utility and design patents on Viva Network’s proprietary technology and applications.

• Integrate with mainstream automated (passive) investment services like Stash
Q2 – 2019:
• By this time, our goal is for the first mortgage to be underwritten and successfully crowdfunded using Viva Network Platform’s Fractionalized Mortgage Shares and the mortgage crowdfunding system as described in the White Paper.
• Identify scope for Viva Platform phase 2 release through usage analytics and customer feedback.
