There is no such thing as 'The Blockchain'

There are one or two Blockchains that have the level of buy-in that make them useful. All of the others have a few people who home their preferred Blockchain would take off - but they don't. Look at Maxcoin created by a famous talk show host.

Let them talk about "The Bitcoin Blockchain" or "The Dash Blockchain"
The other 500+ blockchains out there are here today, gone tomorrow
