CryptoKitties - Over 5 Million Dollars of Digital Kittens Sold Through Ethereum!
Over the past week, the new Dapp - https://www.cryptokitties.co/ has been going viral.
2 days ago TechCrunch reported that "People have spent over $1M buying virtual cats on the Ethereum blockchain".
Yesterday, Coindesk reported that sales reached $3M for the lovable digital kittens, clogging the Ethereum network. A tweet from CryptoKitties addressed the situation:
Today, sales have reached $5M
The viral craze is showing no signs of slowing down as users rush to buy and breed their kitties to have a chance at bringing forth the next $100k kitty. That's right! 2 kitties have already been sold for over $100k each! That's over 200 ETH per kitty! The average sale price at the moment is about $130.

Is that a game that fetches Ether or just digital Kittens frenzy?
Just a frenzy as far as i can tell. It's kind of like beanie babies, tamagotchi or neopets. I guess it is kind of cool that they can breed to create new kitties, but it looks like it's all about the collecting, buying, and selling.
Aha, now i get the gist...poor Ether is taking all the Blows
Yes i agree with @richardkrill over on http://steemspeak.com that the funniest thing about this, is how with just a little bit of good marketing, a simple ethereum token can clog up the entire ethereum network XD EOS will destroy ethereum!
Upvoted this to over $20 man
This really shows how limited Etherum is at the moment when it comes to scaling. Thank you for the support @richardcrill, much appreciated! :)
