I just stumbled upon learning about VeChain as my partner was sharing his view on VeChain. A lot of things are happening in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency right now, VeChain is one of those projects which seemingly emerged out of nowhere and is now the 25th largest cryptocurrency by market cap.
VeChain is a platform that aims to make supply chain management more efficient and transparent. VeChain does a lot. Using the technology, you can track items through a supply chain, ensure the authenticity and quality of goods, as well as maintain the quality control of food products.
Vechain has rebranded to VeChain Thor. The new platform will use two different tokens:
VeChain Tokens (VET) and Thor Power (THOR)
VET will be used by companies as the smart payment currency to run business activities on the blockchain.
VET holders will be given THOR that they can use to perform smart contracts and run applications on the blockchain.
The future of VeChain looks very positive. Several industry giants including BMW and DNV GL have partnered up already, and are looking to use VeChain's blockchain solution for various areas of business.
