Days Of Our Crypto Lives; Smart Contracts 2.0

in #cryptocurrency5 years ago (edited)

Today its time for something a little different.

Now I might get a little serious in this video, but only for a minute.

I just wanted to talk today about the opportunity block-chain technology affords us as individuals, and as groups.

Without getting all technical, block chain is a tool, and like any tool it's effectiveness depends on not only how it is used, but who is using it.

As an IT technician I am only good as the tool I am using. We all know and love Bitcoin, it's some cool tech. But it's natural for things to evolve.

Up until now we have yet to really see anyone utilize block chain tech in a way that benefits the whole.

Smart contracts aren't actually smart unless they evolve. Why are we all still utilizing smart contract platforms that are almost 2 years old? It's time to move on, to something bigger, better.

Let's look at it like this; What if your bank paid you a fair percentage of transactions from every single customer whenever they made a purchase, or withdraw money. Wouldn't you want to keep your money there??

Now what if your bank was SO secure that no one could ever take your money, make you wait days for it, or even tell you you can't have it.

The real power of blockchain technology comes from making money sovereign. Satoshi Nakamoto knew this. But Bitcoin wasn't really designed in a fair way.

But smart contracts can be. We can utilize blockchain mechanism to distribute rewards fairly to everyone who participates in the network.

Fairly, and transparently. As a community. Not as individuals. Or individuals coming together as a community. It's time we stop battling each other, and bringing one another down. If you are in crypto now, and you're watching this video you're part of a revolution. You have many opportunities to change your own life I am sure, you just have to stay vigilant. There's allot of crummy stuff in the crypto space. Drama, lies, scams all that.

I personally had a vision almost 2 years ago now to utilize blockchain tech to make the world a better place. I tried, and failed, with a smart contract called Proof of Humanity. It was a crypto designed to be a charity token. I wanted to change the way we donate, by using blockchain to actually see where your donation money is going. The developer, Spyder wrote his own address into the donation portion of the smart contract, and thus was siphoning money from the contract. Once I discovered this I had to immediately put an end to the project.

Since then the space has been full of pump and dumps, pyramids and while it's been great to see Dapps evolve I can't help but feel many of them are just painting a pretty face on the same version of 1.0 smart contracts that we've seen in the past.

It's time to change that. It's time for us to come together as the crypto family that we are and help each other. Not DUMP on each other.

It's time for version 2.0 of the smart contract, the smart contract to end all pump and dumps.

Stay tuned for part 2.

And in the meantime? Stay cryptic.

Peace!
