I've been waiting out quite a long time now for the new 2018 cover of the Economist. Why? Well back in 1988 the Economist had a rather weird front page of it's yearly edition.

You can clearly see a rising phoenix from the ashes. Which suggest something new will be born in the place of the dying old one. In the top right "get ready for a new world currency". A new currency that wil arise/?

Note the coin around it's neck. 10 PHOENIX 2018. We get the year 2018 which ALREADY STARTED down under. Now let's take a look to the 2018 cover.

I'm fascinated to see that the entire cover is a CRYPTO-gram and/or a CRYPTO-graph, espicially regarding the rise of the cryptos as we near 2018. Let's see if this link between the 2 covers pans out in favor of the cryptos. Maybe the economist has just confirmed our expectations on crypto for the future.
