Out of character, the traditionally conservative IBM makes a play for cross-border transactions.

Another surprise is IBM's choice of partner for this endeavor - Stellar.

Yup, you read that right. Stellar!

The IBM and Stellar partnership represents a potentially formidable competitor to Ripple Corporation; an organization reknowned for international bank alliances and built from the ground up for super-fast, very low fees, digital cross-border transactions.
