Word to the Wise

Today on Word To The Wise, we take a look at a new investment site called 24EmpiresOption.

24EmpireOptions is a trading platform specializing in Binary Options trading. Unfortunately, right off the bat I'm a little skeptical of them since their logo does not match their company name or domain. But being open minded, I continued my analysis of the site. I looked at their contact information and see that they claim to be located in Sydney, United States. That's odd that they wouldn't mention what state they are in. Makes it kind of hard to actually contact them. But they have a phone number and a quick check shows area code 478 to be located in Georgia. So they must be located in Sydney, Georgia! Nope, there is no Sydney, Georgia!

But fortunately they provide a link to Google Maps showing their location. That should straighten everything out. Strange that the contact address doesn't match the Google maps address.

Oh, no wonder, the Google Maps address is actually for a house in the UK. That's strange!

Even stranger, when I looked at the About Us page, I see that 24EmpiresOption is operated by a company located in the Republic of Cyprus.

They also claim that they strictly abide by the policies and regulations of the financial regulator of the EU and that they are one of the leading binary option brokers in the industry. The problem is, according to Wikipedia,

The European Union is publishing regulations that will ban binary options trading.

So there you have it, a questionable website promoting a questionable investment product that cannot even narrow down where they are actually located to less than three different countries. Listen folks, be smart and avoid this site altogether. They sure do feel scammy to me.

The Report

After dropping overnight to it's lowest level since April 6, the cryptocurrency market has been posting some nice gains the last 12 hours or so. Will the market continue to move up from here or are we just seeing a dead cat bounce? We'll just have to wait and see. Currently the broad market value is $289 Billion, up from a low of $266 Billion earlier this morning. Now here's a closer look at how our favorite coins are performing.

Currently Bitcoin is trading at $6673, up 5.4% since this time yesterday afternoon.

Steem is trading at $1.75, up 9.4% in the last 24 hours while SBD is trading at $1.39, up 9.3% since this time yesterday.

Currently on the Steemit Market, Steem is trading for 1.298 SBD. The price of converting SBD to Steem is now a lot cheaper after the big drop in the price of Steem and SBD.

The supply of liquid Steem has remained very stable this past week. There continue to be 78 million liquid Steem.
