RE: What Do You Think Will Happen In The Crypto Markets Next Winter?

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

With Crypto as with traditional currency markets it's a bit counter-productive to make long term plans. When will Bakkt open? They're not exactly rushing things -- I've subscribed to their newsletter (which required a bit of VPN-ing, because they apparently "don't deal with my region") when the story about them hit the news, but so far not a pip from 'em.
I have a sneaking suspicion that they might be buying up on resistance to build a natural stock of BTC for their opening or are poised for that potential move lower to swoop in for easy pickings.

Banks are interested, the overall financial industry is interested, but another factor is the overpowering strength of USD so far -- whatever people say BTC has actually held up remarkably against it -- most folks just haven't seen how other fiats were doing at the same time. And that strength might just hold for a while still -- the threat of new tariffs vs China (and potentially EU) keep it afloat even without FED's help.

But people are building a hedge against the USD already. I wouldn't dare predict that BTC doesn't fall lower, naturally or with manipulation... But USD doomsaying is slowly gaining a footing outside of crypto circles.

That's my two cents :)
