Weekly tech roundup from the COTI Research and Developers team

Over the last week, there were a handful of advancements in our ongoing R&D efforts on all aspects of the COTI roadmap.

COTI Research and Developers team

• We finalized work on the COTI Trust Score Update Algorithms (TSUAs). We defined the algorithm for tracking trustworthiness in the network and also added some basic implementations to the node handshake process. Moreover, we defined how the Trust Score Server receives and sends information to and from other nodes in the network. The Mediation layer and its effect on the Trust Score was further defined this week. Losing a mediation case is reflected in Trust Scores, and a penalty applies if
• Our research team finalized the Mediation Layer concept and algorithms, which handle communication between the Mediation Server, Full Nodes, and wallets. We also finalized the first version of the mediation process specifications, which includes jury selection, the staking process (PoS) and matrix selection for each use case and dispute type.
• The development team finalized the KYC and Authentication onboarding module for both the AlphaNet and COTI-X exchange platform. The module is used to set the initial Trust Score for each user in the COTI network.
• We are currently working on the following areas for Full Node implementation in the Alpha Net:
• Finalizing the Validations algorithm
• Defining the balance validation process
• Working on the Attachment algorithm
• Transaction timestamp validation
• PoW algorithm and PoW validation checks
• Trust Score node updates
• Our research team continued work on price stability and hedging options.
