Top Coins for Summer 2018
#1. ZCash
My number one choice is ZCash. ZCash is a privacy coin that Utilizes zk-SNARKS to completely hide sender/receiver information as well as transaction amount leaving no information available on the chain. Privacy coins will continue to be important for many reasons and I believe privacy coins should be standard.
### #2. EOS
EOS finally concluded it's ICO and the mainnet is currently being launched. EOS sets a new standard for transactions per second using their custom built blockchain operating system and a delegated proof-of-stake consensus system. This opens up a ton of possibilities and BlockOne as well as some venture capital firms are pumping money into EOS application development. Everipedia has already announced an airdrop for snapshot coin holders as well as some other smaller names. More will come in the future as well.
### #3. Cardano (ADA)
Cardano is another delegated proof-of-stake coin that is working towards something somewhat similar to EOS. However, they are taking a slower more academic approach but are still solving the scalability issues seen in earlier crypto projects. Cardano already has a mainnet but has yet to implement their DPOS staking system which is supposed to come out Q2 2018. This should bring a lot more interest to the project even though it is already in the top 10.
### #4. Lisk
Lisk is yet another DPOS system like EOS and Cardano. Lisk has 101 delegates that are voted on by coin holders. These delegates offer percentages of their staking earnings to people who vote for them and there are also pools such as GDT and Lisk Elite that incentivize you even more for voting on their group of delegates. Lisk allows smart-contracts on sidechains coded with javaScript one of the most popular languages in the world. They also have a good large team of people working on the project.
These coins are my top investments for the summer and probably the rest of the year. HODL and keep the bits flowin!
