it is no secret anymore that in principle the block chain technology has the potential to surpass the internet revolution 25 years ago by a multiple

It doesn't matter if viewed from Narendra Modi's "digital India" view or the multiple factor advances of bitcoin, Amazon buying crypto currency web addresses or Jerome Powell being nominated as New Fed Chairman (and one could write a book about all the additional factors)

What does matter so is a long term view, timing and good money management and risk control.

Many altcoins will disappear just as mysteriously as they were created.

My goal was to find the highest probability survivors - I need to make an educated guess of what the googles and amazons of the future will be and get a core position established at a low risk entry price

I see bitcoin to be an AOL and others to be a Yahoo - which are fine speculative elements but in this case I want to add to a diversified portfolio of wealth creation/preservation of precious metals,currencies and others and as such look at future possibilities like the following:

AMZN monthly chart from $18 to $1100 (charts courtesy of TradeStation)
like the following:

GOOGLE monthly chart from 85 to 1048 (=2096 due to its stocksplit)

Recent events in their unique synchronicity of timing and as such causing repressed alt coin pricing and money flow to bitcoin instead, provide in my opinion an ideal scenario to increase or establish a core position.

I personally identified for myself the long term candidates as Steem,Ethereum and Dash and being a purely technical trader identified today as where X marks the spot and increased my holdings

Money management is critical for high volatility instruments like these and as much as these instruments need breathing room (wider stops) a smooth equity curve is absolute goal on the total wealth producing portfolio so sizing these additions very conservation is prudent.
