Will cryptos ever be accepted by the governments?

Many countries have banned cryptocurrencies and others are trying to make it very difficult for the investors of cryptos to carry on investing on cryptos. It seems that cryptocurrencies are facing tough time. Will it overcome this phage or will it completely destroy everything for the investors?
I think it is a difficult time for us. China has banned cryptos and in India government is adamant to regulate cryptos. It is also being heard that Indian government is going to give investors an opportunity to sell out their holdings before banning cryptos. Also, erratic price of cryptos is making it very difficult for cryptos to be adopted as a replacement of fiats. So, only market sentiments and enthusiasm of the investors is pushing their prices to go upwards. But, how long could it sustain in such a situation? I think cyptos needs something especial that can make them stable. Also, the numbers of cryptos should be restricted and also speculation must be curtailed in order to make cryptos reliable and safe for investment.
