Cardano (ADA) came to existence in September 2017 and it now ranked as the seventh biggest Cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization.

Updates And Developments

Recently, the development (Dev) team at Cardano declared that they will create an ideal security-oriented ground base for supporting smart contracts and distributed applications. This service is very similar to what Ethereum (ETH) is providing and this might be a challenge to Ethereum.

The CEO and founder of Cardano, Charles Hokinson revealed their long term goals in an interview with IB Times:

We are probably not going lose a lot of Byzantine resistance. These epochs that we have come up with, there is no reason they can’t be run in parallel.

Cardano’s e-wallet

Cardano’s e-wallet is unique and is named Daedalus. This wallet is very safe, versatile and convenient to use. Following the release of Daedalus version 1.1.0, the development team at Cardano had this to say:

Daedalus will detect when the time on a user’s machine is out of sync with the global time and will display an error message asking the user to fix the issue.
Before this feature was added when there was a time difference of twenty seconds or more, the Cardano node was unable to connect to the network and validate the blockchain, and Daedalus would be held on the loading screen with the “Connecting to network message”.

Partnership with Ethiopian Government

On the third of May this year (2018), Cardano (ADA) signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with the Ethiopian Ministry of Science and Technology.

Charles Hoskinson, CEO of Cardano made the announcement on twitter, with this tweet:

Just signed a MOU with the Ethiopian Ministry of Science and Technology to explore training blockchain developers and use Cardano in Agritech Industry.
