I am a beginning cryptocurrency holder/investor. I have Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, as they are very easy to buy thanks to Coinbase. However, I am beginning to increase my investments for 2018. The very end of December and early January has seen a sizable influx into altcoins(i.e. Ripple, Cardano, Stellar, TRON, etc). While the gains of these altcoins are enticing, my gut is telling me to be bullish on Bitcoin while everyone else is focused on the altcoins. With Bitcoin's dominance being at all time lows, I feel there will be a rebound of Bitcoin's market dominance with a lot funds leaving altcoins. Also, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange is now offering Bitcoin Futures trading, which should bring a lot of institutional money into Bitcoin. Since reaching its' peak of around $20k, Bitcoin has experienced a healthy correction and is currently sitting at around $15.5k. Because I am a newer trader of cryptocurrencies, I am looking for feedback on my assessment of the market and other people's thoughts on the price action of Bitcoin and altcoins.
