In my country Nigeria, we are always faced with the issue of going to the hospital to open a new file, carry out medical test which have been previously conducted, due to lack of a database to save the information of each and every patient, so that anyone can visit any hospital at any instant of time instead of going to a particular hospital over and over again, where you might sometimes be charged above the normal amount for a particular illness.
I have visited the hospital sometimes ago and was told my file was missing from the hospital shelf which made me start all over again with my medical test, wasting my time and resources.
Now, am happy there is a solution to all this given to is by MediBloc

What is MediBloc?

MediBloc is a developing blockchain medical data platform. It is aimed at giving medical patients the right to the control of their medical data, which they can share with other relevant parties like Job interview, other hospitals, other countries and even schools e.t.c. This will help save time, save resources and lots more.

MediBloc was founded by Dr. Allen Wookyun Kho and Dr. Eunsol Lee. The founders have a strong background in both medical and engineering fields. They are well equipped to execute a project of this magnitude.

Although medicine varies from country to country, in most cases, the data is very centralized. Medical data is also subject to stringent privacy laws which regulate how and who has access to the data.

My country Nigeria, the problem is the lack of digitization. Medical records always gets missing from time to time are always waste time of patients which could even lead to further complications to the health of patients.

Medical records is faced with the challenges of the privacy laws, so, there is very limited access to data.
MediBloc has a way around this challenge by giving patients complete power over their medical data, so, patients can decide to give permission to their health data, if it should be private or not.

The institutions conducting the studies can choose to offer MED rewards in exchange for user data, and the users can choose if they wish to grant permission or not.

Medical data isn't just information, it is also a valuable asset.

Security

Let's discuss how secure is the patient information. These centralized medical records systems can suffer hacks and attacks, because, of their level of security that is not the same as that of the blockchain.

MediBloc is ready to restruscture medical health data in other to give it's best and make healthcare better and decentralised instead of been restricted to a particular hospital. MainNet - MED & MEDX

MediBloc contains two tokens which are MED and MEDX.

When they started, they launched the MediBloc project on QTUM as MED, but the MediBloc team came together and agreed that it's better to build their own blockchain in order to have their own service!

"Therefore, holders of MED were airdropped MEDX as well".

Therefore, when the release of the mainnet will start, holders will get 0.5 MainNet coins per MED and 0.5 MainNet coins per MEDX.

The move to ERC-20 was to improve business versatility.

The access levels are designed in such a way that family members and next of kin can make decisions on behalf of the data owner in case of emergency to make sure the data is accessible to medical professionals.
