MediBloc: Decentralizing Medical Records
Today, major technological advances have substantially improved our quality of life, yet challenges remain.
The health sector is a huge and important market worldwide and has extended its reach to a large number of different sectors, with all the services within the health sector coming with a great deal of important and sensitive information, but that information is now transmitted by obsolete methods, while the technology continues to advance rapidly.
In recent years it has been confirmed that medical information has a much higher value on the black market than stolen credit card information, and we have realized that the health industry is not escaping cyber attacks. Because of all this we have realized that the methods currently used by medical entities are not safe and patients are the most affected.
Blockchain technology has totally revolutionized many sectors including the financial sector, due to its secure, transparent and incorruptible nature, this technology has solved many problems in different areas and it is time to introduce it into the health sector to address the problems of information theft from vulnerable centralized servers on which we currently depend.
The health sector is exposed to major challenges such as allowing universal care while ensuring the security of patient information, blockchain technology could be critical in the performance of different areas within the industry such as medical records, health insurance, disease research, pharmacology, patient privacy, etc.. Blockchain technology can be used to improve the security of patient information, improve the agility of appointments, better control of patient reactions to different medicines and the management of the entire model under which this sector currently works, which in many ways needs to improve its response times between the patient-physician-insurer.
What is Medibloc?
MediBloc is a medical data platform based on blockchain technology, this platform allows patients to have absolute control over their medical information as well as share it with whomever they wish.
MediBloc will overcome the barriers of the health data industry by bringing together all the dispersed patient data in a single platform. Patients will be able to go to any medical center outside the country and give doctors full access to their medical records, this will help streamline the medical process as doctors will have all the information they need to proceed smoothly and improve the patient experience.

Union of procedures and management of the medical supply chain: Within the medical and pharmaceutical industry there are hundreds and thousands of procedures such as payments, prescription controls, inventories, examination results and a host of other actions that thanks to medibloc could be united in a single flow of information with all agents involved in streamlining all processes.
Mobility in the Clinical History: It is very common to observe that when we go to different medical centers we get to have different clinical histories in each one, due to the centralization of the information, with medibloc all the clinical histories would be safeguarded within the platform guaranteeing that any professional of the health sector could make use of these in case it is required.

How Will It Affect Patient Control of Medical Records?
The Patient Decides: Through the application of medibloc the patient will be able to decide who will be able to access his/her medical information and who will not, ensuring that the patient is in control and preventing third parties from using the information to their advantage.
Better Efficiency in Diagnostic Times: With the help of medibloc, the incorporation of clinical data into the patient's medical records could be speeded up much faster, this would improve the time the test results are entered into the medical records and this would reduce the doctors' diagnostic time.
Medibloc also has the particularity of being an open source platform, that is to say that different applications can be freely connected to the platform, this is a very big improvement in interoperability as it can support different formats, this also improves adaptability and is a time saving when patients are treated in different medical centers.
Medibloc has hundreds of uses, for example for research on diseases that still have no cure, by sharing information from different research centers you could compare the results much faster and research for a cure could be greatly accelerated, this would save thousands of lives.
MediBloc Token
Within the medibloc platform two tokens are used, the MED and MEDX, the MED token will be used as a payment method and for the exchange of information, it can also be transferred between users both inside and outside the platform. When the mainnet is launched, the holders of both tokens will receive a 0.5 reward for MEDX and MED currencies.

Structure of the MediBloc Platform

The medibloc platform is composed of three parts or layers:
Core: The core of medibloc is composed of all the information stored by the users as well as the tools that are used to manage it. For greater security on the part of the platform, medibloc will have the option of recovering information and will give users a private key so that only they can access and share the information.
Services: Through the use of an intelligent contract within the platform, users will be able to share their information and make use of them.
Applications: This layer allows users to use different applications to access and manipulate data.
Medibloc offers its users the possibility of obtaining information from their devices by simply entering the platform, storing relevant medical information and data such as the treatments indicated, history of illnesses, schedule of medical visits, etc.. It also allows you to streamline processes with insurance companies as in many cases it takes a lot of time and paperwork.
