ONECENT Report - Profits Update, News & Free Upvote - Sun - Day 157 of 200
Firstly, the numbers: our total value is currently about 2825 STEEM (+2 STEEM), including 2218 STEEM within Steem Engine and a total of 19403 tokens in play. This gives ONECENT an ABV of about 14.56 STEEM cents (0.1456 STEEM), up slightly on yesterday.
ONECENT News
We have now reached the 75% mark of the ONECENT trading game, although it has turned out less of a game and more of a fixed-term investment.
The ABV at the start was about 0.09 STEEM, and we have now reached about 0.145 STEEM; this is an increase of 0.055, or 61% in 150 days, equivalent to an APR of about 149%.
The graph above shows the progress of actual transactions, hence is rather jagged as market activity has tended to be low. This, again, shows that this has been treated more as holding investment than the envisioned trading game. Never mind, I trust everyone is making a very good profit!
What appears to be a recent flash-crash is merely the artefact of a rather wide spread between the current sell and buy price. Indeed, let's look at the graph of the ONECENT token ABV.
A few features to note. The price flattened out immediately post-HF21 but, luckily we had some joy with the CATS and KITTENS game for about a month. Attention then shifted to the TRENDO token, which is given away free to many players; the actual tips have not been included in our calculations as those funds never touch our account, only the curation reward tokens are included. The most recent month has been somewhat flat too as many tokens have been priced downwards. However, we are now with two furlongs to go unstaking all our tokens and, with posting rewards still coming in, we look forward to a modest rise towards the finishing line.
I shall leave these graphs here for a couple of days as have no idea how many people read these.

It further notes that an ECB-backed digital currency could have “far-reaching implications” for the financial system. Not only could it alter the way monetary policy is transmitted, but it could also render commercial banks redundant as people would be able to open accounts directly with the ECB.
Exactly! This is what I've been saying about Steem, that users have an account directly with the Steem central bank - whether they use that way, or not, is up to the individual.
