All time High

Bitcoin is at an all time high over $8,500. Litecoin is approaching it's all time high as well. Meanwhile Steem lingers around $1. Silver remains around $17. This illustrates the value of diversity but there are also other things to consider.

We are beginning to see the 'gold rush' mentality. This social frenzy will probably reach a fever pitch in a few months. I believe it will continue for several years. When the big crypto become extreme, the value of the blockchain technology will also be more widely understood. This frenzy will likely spread to Steem. Do not bet against worldwide social mob mentality.

Now is the time to press on. Earning Steem and acquiring Steem Power will soon become much more difficult. I believe Steem to be a lagging indicator. It's value will follow the leading horses in the race. It may not run as fast, but it may run further. Time will tell.

Behind the herd of cryptocurrencies Silver trudges along. Remember the fable of the tortoise and the hare? In the fable, the tortoise wins the race with slow steady progress to the finish line. The race is not always won by the quickest starter.

The point is, we are experiencing the start of the race. There is no way to predict how tomorrow will influence the progress of the racers.

Did I mention diversity?

let's see.. I think Steem price won't go up based on unit price.. but the total number of new Steem created everyday will overcome other coins..

First Year : 500 million Steem
Second Year: 500 million new Steem (that's almost 1.37 million Steem everyday)

and then on year three 1 Billion and then every year Steem will keep increasing double..

And also price of Steem Dollars are going up..

Personally the low price of one unit Steem is a great opportunity to buy as much steem as possible and power up...

we all ascribe the value to the "idea or item"....it varies and there is room for all of it on the blockchain imho, here is the "nice Post" part, lol

Steem will surely find true value at some point in the future. In my opinion..
It is undervalued now. And it could remain that way for a time.
But, I have to think that the true value of Steem is much higher in US Dollar terms. I don't have to explain all the reasons why. We only have to look around to see and know.
