In second test match Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. The main reason of batting first was to put some score on the board and avoid playing the fourth innings which is not easy to play in a detorirated wicket
Team Pakistan made two changes. In the absence of injured Imam ul Haq, Fakhar zaman got the chance. This was the debut match of Fakhar Zaman & Mir Hamza.
Mohammad Hafeez departed early after scoring 4 runs. Azhra Ali & Fakhar made a decent partnership of 52. Azhar Ali became the first victims of Nathan Lyon. He departed after scoring 15 runs. Haris Sohail received golden duck. Babar Azam & Asad Shafiq didn't add any score. Both were the victim of Lyon great bowling. Lyon took 04 wickets in just 06 balls. At one stage Pakistan was 57 for the loss of 1 wicket and after the magic of Nathan lyon Pakistan slipped to 57 for 5. Lyon took 4 wickets without conceding any run
Fakhar Zaman with Captain Sarfaraz made a brilliant partnership, both played 94 runs innings which helped Pakistan to make 282 runs on the board. For Australia Lyon took 4 wickets.
Muhammad Abbas & Bilal Asif was too good for Australian batting. No batsmen able to play big innings and all team bundled out after scoring 145 runs.

Mohammad Abbas was the pick of the bowler. Bilal Asif took 3 wickets, For Australia Finch, Starc & Labuschange made 39, 34 & 25 runs respectively.

Pakistan started the second innings with a big lead of 137 runs. Mohammad Hafeez again departed early after scoring 6 runs. Fakhar Zaman added 66 & 64 runs. Brilliant innings of Babar Azam 99 and Captain Sarafaraz 81 helped pakistan to declare innings at a score of 400 runs.For Australia Lyon took o4 wickets in the second innings.
Australia required 538 runs to win the test match and series. The target was very difficult and it become more difficult after the injury of Usman Khawaja. No Australian batsmen were able to stay on the crease against the quality bowling of Abbas & Yasir Shah. All team bundled out after scoring 164 runs. Abbas took 5 wickets in the 2nd inning as well. Pakistan won the match by a margin of 373 runs. On his 10 wicket in a match and 17 wickets in the series he was rewarded as a man of the match and man of the series award

Gret win for team Pakistan. Team were happy after receiving the trophy. With this loss Australia slipped from no 3 to no 5 in test ranking while Pakistan retained 7th position.
