Earlier Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Australian openers again failed to provide a good start. Both openers went to the pavilion at 26 runs. Finch scored 6 while Carey managed only 18 runs. Shaun Marsh & Usman Khawaja tried to build foundation but Khawaja run out broke the partnership. Khawaja made 21 runs. Shaun Marsh showed his brilliance with the bat. He made decent partnership first with Handscomb than stionis & Maxwell. Handscomb & Stionis & Maxwell made 20, 29 & 48 runs respectively.

On the other hand Shaun Marsh smashed the ball all around the ground. He scored 131 runs. Lyon quick 12 runs in 5 balls helped Australia to manage 298 runs on the board.

For India Buhvneshwar Kumar took 4 wickets & Shami took 3 wickets.
In reply Indian openers provided quick start. Australia got first success when Dhawan departed after scoring 32 runs. Captain Virat Kohli joined Rohit sharma. Both made a decent partnership of 54 runs. Rohit departed after scoring 43 runs. Maxwell ended Rayudu resistance. He scored 24 runs. Dhoni joined brilliant Virat Kohli.

Dhoni cool head & Karthik quick made 25 runs in 14 balls helped India to surpass Australia score with 4 ball to spare. Dhoni made 55 runs. India won the match by 6 wickets. with this win India square the series with third and final match still to go. For Australia Behrendorff, Richardson, Stionis & Maxweel took one wicket each. On his fine performance with the bat Virat Kohli was awarded player of the match award. The decider of the ODI series will be played tommorow. With this win India is the favorite to win the series.
