I am the Universe.

I am the Universe is a Folk: Celtic: Pop single track that has recently been released by CDBaby.

This chant-like song was created by Australian singer/songwriter, Sylvia Forest with Pete Dawes on cello and co-created with sound artist Stewart Havill.

Once again Sylvia's message: I am you, you are me, we are everyone is so very positive and joyous.

This song explores the notion of our connection to all life, with the rhythm evoking an almost trance–like energy in which we might find ourselves in a dancing meditation, something akin to that of the whirling dervishes. ~Sylvia Forest.

About the image.

As the cover design for I am the Universe, Sylvia wanted to use a slightly imperfect dandelion, with just a few individual seeds breaking away and about to fly, to represent the Universe being present in the simplest of nature's forms: Both the perfect and imperfect.

I searched everywhere in our garden to see if any dandelions had survived the high winds we'd experienced in Sydney over the previous week. All I could find were lots of seedless seedheads.

Fortunately, I remembered that I'd taken some photographs of dandelions a few years ago and even though they'd been taken with a very inexpensive little camera, the detail of all the little parachutes in this image was quite remarkable.

The image was edited and cropped into a square format as required by CDBaby.

Slightly Digitized.

The image was slightly stylized with the Deep Dream Generator using the same dandelion image for both the Base and Style Image: This resulted in the shapes becoming more geometric with lovely areas of flat colour.

The image was resized to 3000 x 3000 pix, as required by CDBaby.
