Welcome to The Daily Sneak!!!

We reward quality content, AND content curators! Come for the crypto, stay for the community!

You can win up to 15 SBI per accepted submission for guest curating The Daily Sneak. Submission requirements are published at the bottom of each edition of The Daily Sneak.

This ongoing curation contest is no resteem, no upvote, no follow required.

I've been feeling some wanderlust this week, so it's time for some travel curation to satiate that need until my next upcoming trip next month. Then it will be my first visit to Maine for the wedding of some dear friends. I'm told I should bring good bug repellant!

The Sneaked Selections

My California - East Fork with my cousin

@derekrichardson goes camping up the San Gabriel River in Southern California. I'd have to check a map, but I think I've driven through these mountains. I love California because there are so many different natural settings and so much of the natural beauty is protected. An hour out of any major city and you are in beautiful Natural Forests. I need to put some California visits on my calendar again soon.

A short Sweet Trip to hills- Picture Post

On the other hand, I definitely have not been to these mountains! The closest I have been was Delhi, which is all city and no mountains, stranded in the middle of a vast flood-plain, deliberately positioned so that no attack could come by surprise.

I loved Delhi, but that was a work trip and there is so much more of India that I have yet to explore. Here @vibesforlife takes a break from her hectic Delhi life for a three-day trip into the Himalayas to Dharamshala. The mountains are verdant, the air is clear, and one can breathe...

Mission San Luis Rey

In my own travels I have visited a few of these old Catholic missions that dot California. The locations hidden in busy cities are a great break from hectic traffic. The locations nestled in quiet country are hidden treasures where one can take their time to take in the architecture, with few interruptions from other tourists.
All are worth a visit, and @dfinney is making an effort to visit all 21 that are located along California's 'Royal Road'. I wonder which seven he has already been to, and whether they are the same I have been to. It would help if I could remember which I have actually visited!

Walk with me around Manchester, UK

And now for a continent completely different. I always find it striking the way that certain architectural influences become regionally and nationally prevalent. European cities are each unique and have very unique buildings, but the styles can often be similar. I have not been to Manchester, but reading @kansuze's photo-essay brought back many memories of my trip to London a few years ago. I would love to visit Manchester, to visit London again, and to visit the rest of England, the UK, and even Europe!

Conclusion

Each of these highlighted articles receives full upvotes and resteems from @thedailysneak, along with beneficiary rewards from this post. Our featured writers sometimes earn more from their beneficiary rewards on this post than from their post itself! In addition, @thedailysneak sponsors featured writers for Steem Basic Income!

Submission Requirements

On to the submission requirements for The Daily Sneak:

  1. You can choose from 2 to 5 articles for your entry. Submissions with only one selected article will be ignored.
  2. All articles chosen for curation need to have been published within the last 5 days before your entry. It may take time for me to publish your curation, and curated articles need to be within the reward window when your submission is published.
  3. You cannot submit your own post for curation. Selections from nsfw will not be accepted. We also check for plagiarism and only highlight original content.
  4. Selected posts should have less than $50 in total rewards and have not previously been curated by The Daily Sneak.
  5. We try to spread the love around, so while selections from authors that have been highlighted before are welcome, they might not be included if the author's last inclusion was recent. Similarly, if you include two articles from the same author in one submission, we will typically highlight only one of the two.
  6. Be sure to include your personal bio for me to introduce you to readers, and make sure that each selection has commentary. This can be just a few sentences about why you think the selection is worth our attention, or what is great about it - something that will make people want to click through the headline and check out the actual article. English is preferred, but other languages will be considered as long as English translation is included.
  7. Please use this web form to submit your entry. https://goo.gl/forms/VH2MGIMEgqZmd9ef1
  8. Including image links to the source article is not required (and we prefer to leave some mystery if photography is highlighted and the article has only one photo.) However, we like to include images in The Daily Sneak, and not including any image links may decrease the likelihood of your submissions being published.

If you include more than 2 articles in your submission and not all are approved for publication, your submission may still be published into an edition of The Daily Sneak, as long as at least 2 articles are approved. This could happen for several different reasons. If you are unsure why an article was cut, please review the submission guidelines again. If you are still unsure, feel free to ask politely why it was cut.

Submission Reward

A brief biography of each guest curator will be included in the edition that uses their submission. In addition, each guest curator will receive 3 SBI for each article from their submission that is highlighted in The Daily Sneak. That's up to 15 SBI for each accepted submission!

With Steem Basic Income now upvoting comments for members that have not posted within the last 7 days, and SBI having proven to be a great value proposition, we chose to rewards curators with SBI. This will help The Daily Sneak continue in its mission to discover and reward quality content creators and curators.

This is the first time I have heard about the daily sneak. What a great initiative! Thank you again for the feature!

We don't publish as often as we would like. Curation is surprisingly a lot of work!

I like the selected posts. I try to do something here but I have been too busy for months. I hope I'll be able to select posts for the ' the daily sneak' very soon.

We don't get submissions often right now. I didn't make a big deal of it, but in this post I increased the curator reward from 2 SBI per featured post to 3 SBI per featured post, and the featured writers are now getting 2 SBI for being featured instead of only 1.
