Oscar 2020: Best Supporting Actress - Nominations and Predictions
After having mentioned and analyzed the nominations for Best Supporting Actor, it is now time to go and see what the situation is for female counterparts. Here too the general impression is that everything will be decided by a handful of votes. It's too difficult to know in advance who will win. Finding a favourite is a complex matter. Scarlett Johanson has on her side the fact that she has a double nomination in both categories. The fact that she is not a favorite in the best actress category could lead the Academy to award her for her performance in JoJo Rabbit. Kathy Bates is perhaps the real name to bet your famous dollar on. It's hard for her to make it to Oscar night with the certainty of success but perhaps she has a little more hope. Laura Dern, although very good at it, is the third violin in a movie like A Marriage Story where Adam Driver and Johanson herself shone more than she did. Margot Robbie with Bombshell can already say she's very pleased to have been nominated while Florence Pugh is the outsider that could upset everyone. Here are my predictions:

Dopo aver menzionato ed analizzato le nominations per migliore attore non protagonista è adesso il momento di andare a vedere quale è la situazione per le controparti femminili. Anche qui l'impressione generale è che tutto si deciderà per una manciata di voti. Troppo difficile capire a priori chi possa spuntarla. Individuare una favorita è cosa complessa. Scarlett Johanson ha dalla sua il fatto di avere una doppia nomination in entrambe le categorie di riferimento. Il fatto che non sia tra le favorite nella categoria migliore attrice potrebbe indurre l'Academy a premiarla per la sua interpretazione in JoJo Rabbit. Kathy Bates resta forse il vero nome su cui puntare il vostro famoso dollaro. Difficile che possa arrivare alla notte degli Oscar con la certezza del successo ma forse è quella che ha un minimo di speranza in più. Laura Dern, pur bravissima sconta il fatto di essere il terzo violino di un film come A Marriage Story dove Adam Driver e la stessa Johanson hanno brillato più di lei. Margot Robbie con Bombshell può dirsi già molto soddisfatta di essere stata nominata mentre Florence Pugh è l'outsider che potrebbe sconvolgere tutti. Di seguito le mie predictions:
