LIE: Why Lie And Can You Do Without It ? {Part 1}
Carr and Ted are having a fun day playing their hide and seek game in their family sitting room. it just one of those childhood league plays that is very enticing to children. Carr is 10 while Ted is 6. Still in the peak of their play, Ted ran mistakenly hit T.V stand; this means it will definitely affect the newly bought 50" 3D HD TV daddy bought 3 months back. It fell off the stand because of Ted's impact and some cracks are inflicted on the screen. Understanding the repercussion of this, Carr decides to take the blame off his kid brother.
"Daddy is not going to be happy with us because he has warned us not to play hide and seek in the sitting room" Ted lamented
"There will be displinary measure by Daddy" politely said by Carr.
So daddy is back home from work,just to catch up with the evening news, he is faced with a cracked T.V screen .
"Who did this!?" Angrily said by Carr and Ted's dad
"I ......I did it, it wasn't intentional dad" stammering said by Carr
Now the scenario written above is typical of any day life with kids but would you lie to save your sibling, spouse or your job?
As a kid I was taught not to lie and I also believe you also had that up bringing in the process of inculcating good moral attribute in us . well, irrespective of this good act some fellows take delight to just lie;truth as gone on exile from their mouth.
Howbeit, some school of thought believes lie is behavioural or attitudinal While others believe it could be circumstantial. Which of these do you fall into,maybe I should ask these questions:
Have you ever lied ?
How often do you lie.
On what ground did you lie:circumstantial or behavioural?
Somebody once said
".....there is black lie and white lie;I'll prefer to be a white liar......"
