Shizuoka Festival
This festival started on Friday the 5th of April and ran till Sunday the 7th of April this year. we went to the festival on the Sunday. It was very nice. Very crowded in Sumpujo Park, for the hanami cherry blossom parties, but I was drunk, so it didn't matter.
There are thousands of people at the castle park and there was a parade around the park too which we saw.
Afterwards, we walked to Aoba street where there was a Spanish festival. That was small, but nice.
This is the biggest festival in Shizuoka, its huge.
If you like festivals, I recommend coming to Shizuoka in the first week of April. Sengen Jinja Shrine has its own festival running all week, and then the larger Shizuoka festival takes over on Friday for the weekend.
