ALICE IN CHAINS - "NUT SHELL" - "FROGS" - "ANGRY CHAIR" - "MTV UNPLUGGED

These old MTV Unplugged shows showed musicans at there best without all the effects. Stripped down so to speak. I was thinking about doing a few posts with some of the best performances from the show. Alice in Chains did an awesome job and really showed everyone how talented they were. I know there still playing but its just not the same without layne Staley his voice was one of kind and matched perfect with Jerry Cantrell. And even batteling a herion addiction and in a weakened state his voice was still powerful and filled with emotion. Hes missed very much. This first song is "Nut Shell" from the Unplugged session in NY.

And this is one of there lesser known songs "Frogs" one of there darker songs but you can hear how personal the lyrics were that Layne Staley wrote.

This song is called "Angry Chair" another dark one but those are the ones i like the most.
