It is a wonder that these handcrafted looms can be preserved, and that people can observe their art. In Venezuela there are some places where it is conserved as a practice. There is a famous loom town where they make tapestries, hammocks, clothes, etc, called "Tintorero". And the surviving indigenous communities, like the Wayú, also continue to make their clothes and tapestries.
